About	Leah Rae Henderson, age 51, of Chillicothe, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Chillicothe. Leah was born on July 7, 1973 in Peoria, IL to John “Jack” and Janet (Yaunk) Murnan. She married Floyd Henderson on June 24, 2017 at Shore Acres of Chillicothe. Floyd also passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Chillicothe. Surviving is her mother, Janet of Chillicothe, IL; her stepchildren, Marisa (Aaron) Ruggiero of Chicago, IL and Floyd L. Henderson, Jr. of Indiana; her sisters, Kimberly (Dennis) Caughey and Stacy (Alan) Vangunten, both of Chillicothe, IL; eight nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Ella and Dibs. She was preceded in death by her father. Leah was a dental assistant for 33 years and worked for Dr. Edward Rick and the Rick Dental Group in Sterling and Peoria. She was a member of the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church, the Chillicothe Sportsman’s Club, and played pool for River City Billiards for over 30 years. She volunteered cooking breakfast for AMVETS Post #77 and she enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, mushroom and ginseng hunting, and was known for her long-winded story telling. Leah cherished her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The community outreach and outpouring of love for Floyd and Leah has been a true testament of who Floyd and Leah were and the impact on the lives they touched.
