Jerry Turpin, 67 of Chillicothe passed on May 8th, 2009 at his home. Jerry was born on July 20, 1941 to Florence and James Turpin in Peoria Illinois. On April 18th, 1959 he married Eileen Loser in Chillicothe, Illinois, she survives.

Also surviving; Mom (mother-in-law) Jane Loser of Chillicothe, Sons Tim (Kathy) Turpin of Peoria, Ron Turpin of Spring Bay, and Todd (Beverly) Turpin of Chillicothe; Four grandchildren Jerry Turpin, Erika Turpin, Bridgette Turpin and Ted Turpin; Four step grandchildren Alysia, Corey, Kayla, and Maranda Moyer.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Brother James Jr., and Father (Father-in-law) Richard Loser

Through their 50 years of marriage there was no such thing as in-law. Dick and Jane Loser were Mom and Dad to Jerry. Arthur (Shirley) Loser, Terry Loser and Linda (Bill) Budde were brothers and sisters to Jerry.

Jerry attended Pearce Grade School and Chillicothe High School where he participated in sports. He was a 45 year member of the Local 453 Meat Cutter Union, with 30+ years at Thompsons Food Basket and retiring from the Butcher Block in 2003. Jerry was a Charter member of the Chillicothe Saddle Club, former school board member of Union Consolidated, Former Hallock Township Board member, and an active member of the Peoria Casting Club.

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, remodeling homes, fishing, hunting, mushrooming, gardening, ATV riding, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all his Greatest Love was his Wife.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8pm at Weber funeral home in Chillicothe. Funeral will be held as a private ceremony. Jerry's remains will be placed at Swan Lake Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois. Memorial may be made to The St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Rescue 33 in Chillicothe Illinois.
