Tony Stachurski was a great guy. He and I both played Center on the River Rats football team. Tony and I were pretty good, but the team had a terrible won/lost record. Late in my senior year, Coach Stielstra put Tony into my place as the starting Center, to see whether the younger guys might be able to win a game. I was cheesed off, but I could not blame Tony.
I felt sort of sorry for him, because he had a short Princeton haircut, when the rest of us were growing long hair, back in the Age of Aquarius. I thought it was obvious that his dad probably made him get short haircuts.
