Passed away at her home in Livonia, Michigan on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Daughter of Jules Shammas and Jeanny Knaff-Shammas, she was born in Baghdad, Iraq on January 17, 1954 and became a US citizen in 1965. She married Michael Soltis in Dearborn, MI on September 25, 1981 and became proud mother of Andrew in 2001. Graduate of Ann Arbor Huron High, BA in Sociology from University of Michigan (1975), teaching certificate in French from Eastern Michigan University and paralegal certificate from Madonna University. She is survived by her husband, son, mother, sister Viviane and brother Robert (Patti). Rosette loved quilting, travel and her 2 cats. Funeral service 10:30 AM on Monday December 22 at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. 6 Mile Rd, Livonia. (734) 591-3700. Visitation Sunday 2-8 P.M. Entombment Glen Eden Memorial Park.
