Alumni Stories
Benjamin Pointer
Class of 1982
The business expansion has finally begun. Campus Computers has joined forces with KPTS Associates (www.kptsnet.com) to form KITC Information Technology Training and Business Services (www.kitcnet.com).
Both web sites are still under construction but we are making progress on that and several fronts daily. My brother, Kenneth Pointer (OK, so he went to Aiken, too bad Ken), owns KPTS Assocites in Cincinnati. We joined forces and are opening KITC in Atlanta in thirty to sixty days from October 1, 2012. It's hard work with many sleep-deprived nights, but it's sheer joy knowing that you are your own boss. It'a also sheer terror knowing that you'd better make it work!
Look for updates as we take the leap of faith into the world of high-stakes IT entrepreneurship in the ATL. We know that the Cincinnati Public Schools prepared us well. the CPS system gave Ken and I the foundation we needed to thrive at the next level, so any of you who are reading this who are still students in the CPS, make the best of it while you can, and don't waste single day!
We hope that you all will root us on as we go head-to-head with other Information Technology firms in the southeast's largest city. We are bringing our A-game representing Cincinnati.
Finally, the play -by-play:
1. Web sites are active but under construction
2. KPTS & Campus Computers business plans must be unified
3. Marketing Madness! We go into the belly of the beast and take what we want, and that is other Information Technology company's clients.
So look for updates on each of the three items above in Thirty to sixty days.
Go BIG RED!!!!
