He was a 1979 graduate of Howland High School.

For the last year and a half, he worked in the inspection department for Alternative Flash Corp. He previously worked at Super Tire on Parkman Road for 15 years.
He was a member
of Blessed Sacrament Church. He enjoyed football, baseball and coaching Pony League baseball.
He is survived by his father, James E. "Jim" Broadbent Sr. of Howland; brothers, James E. (Jane) Broadbent Jr. of Cortland, Daniel E. (Susan) Broadbent of Chagrin Falls, Barry E. (Angel) Broadbent of Chagrin Falls and Craig E. (Kristen) Broadbent of Fairview Park; sisters, Susan Broadbent of Howland and Laura (Robert) O'Hara of East Liverpool. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Church with celebrant the Rev. Donald E. King.
Calling hours will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Private burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road N.E., Warren, OH 44483.
