BRISTOLVILLE-Thomas Jeffrey Smith, 47, passed away Sunday morning, March 6, 2011, at his home from complications of chronic diabetes and hereditary pancreatitis.

Born Jan. 8, 1964, in Warren, Tom was the son of Edward and Billie Jo Fenton Smith of Bristolville.

A graduate of Howland High School, Tom also attended Kent State University for two years. He was a kind and loving soul. He enjoyed classic cars and was a member of the GTO association. Tom also enjoyed the outdoors, nature and was an animal lover. He was a member of the ASPCA.

He will be dearly missed by his parents, Edward and Billie Jo Smith of Bristolville, with whom he made his home; a son, Zachary Thomas Smith of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Robert E. and David E. Smith, both of Bristolville; and also by his dog, Skipper.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

According to Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place. The Rev. Dee Emmert will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday at Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County at 545 Brunstetter Road S.W., Warren, Ohio 44481.
