Robert, of Berlin, MD, passed away from natural causes at Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a hands-on dad and pop-pop and loved his family very much. He graduated from Howard High School in Ellicott City in 1958 and attended Western Maryland College in Westminster, Maryland. He retired from The Baltimore Sun in 2004 after almost 33 years of service. He was involved in the Boy Scouts with his son and took Karate lessons with the family and became an instructor. He was a member of the Ellicott City and Reisterstown Jaycees. He enjoyed bowling on leagues for many years. He served on the vestry at All Saints Episcopal Church in Reisterstown, Maryland and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Berlin, Maryland.

In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 3 Church Street, Berlin, Maryland on Wednesday, December 29 at 1:00. A reception will follow.
