Paul was a proud student of the Howard County Public School system, graduating from Howard High School in 1983. He continued his studies at Morehouse College with a deep sense of pride in being part of the Morehouse Class of 1987.
Enlisting in the United States Army on February 17, 1987, Paul embarked on a journey of steadfast commitment to his country, a journey that culminated in his retirement on June 30, 2014, after 27 years of exceptional service. Among his notable assignments, he served in the renowned 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, during both his tenures there from 1995 to 1998 and 2003 to 2008.
