George "Chuck" Mindenhall
Class of 1991
Hello...I wanted to pass along bio details for my husband, George "Chuck" Mindenhall. He graduated Horizon in 1991, as part of the first "three year" class. It's not necessarily to be published anywhere, more just so you know that he is the same Chuck Mindenhall on ESPN (he went by George in high school).
George Mindenhall, class of 1991, went on to become an editor and journalist as Chuck Mindenhall. He is currently a staff writer for ESPN.com and a regular contributor to ESPN Magazine, covering the UFC and MMA. In the past he has appeared in Blender, LA Times, Rolling Stone and many other publications, and he was the editor and chief at the Inland Empire Weekly in Southern California before taking the job with ESPN. He has appeared on MMA Live on ESPN2, and many other platforms across ESPN and otherwise. Below is a link to the site. He is proud of Horizon (and his journalism teacher, Mrs Margaret Hedde, who nudged him into the racket unwittingly), so I thought I would pass this information along. Any chance he can be listed on Horizon's wikipedia page?
