About	Dr. Bryan A. Shaddick went peacefully to his heavenly home January 11, 2018. He was born October 5, 1924, in Swansea, Wales. In 1929, he immigrated to the United States. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana, then served in the United States Infantry in both the European and Pacific theaters. He was a decorated veteran of World War II. He earned a B.S., M.S. and an E.D. in education from Indiana University. He worked for Portage Township Schools in Indiana as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent. He was superintendent of schools in Jamestown, New York. In his later years, he was a Supervisory Porter at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. He had a zest for life which he shared with those around him, endearing him to many. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Keith and Derek; and his first wife, Joy Wienke. He is survived by his wife, Suparika (Toto); four children, Janet Ahlbin, Jeanne (David) Heggem, Carol (Stuart) Price and Bryan (Toffee) Shaddick; and 10 grandchildren, Janet's sons, Ben (Anna) Ahlbin, Jon (Heather) Ahlbin, Gabe (Laura) Ahlbin and Micah Ahlbin (deceased) and her daughter, Beth French, Jeanne's sons, Aaron (Shannon) Applegate and Braden (Whitney) Applegate, and Bryan's daughter, Lindsey Shaddick, and sons, Maxwell Shaddick and Mathew Shaddick. He was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren, Ben's daughters, Eleanor, Mary Rose, Katherine and Felicity, and son, Isaac Ahlbin, Jon's sons, Blake and Robert (Jordan) Ahlbin, Gabe's sons, Nathan and Griffin Ahlbin, Beth's daughter, Olivia French, Aaron's daughters, Skye, Sierra and Savanna Applegate, and Braden's daughter, Rose and son, Wyatt Applegate.
