About	Virginia Ann "Ginger" Shurr, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2017, after struggling with Alzheimer's and dementia. She was surrounded by family at North Woods Village Memory Care in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was formerly of Valparaiso and Hobart. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen (McKee) Esancy; her husband of 54 years, Donald Shurr; her sister, Billie Owen; and son-in-law, Jon Eaton. Survivors include her daughter, Sharron Eaton; son, Dale (Linda) Shurr; daughter Laurie (John) Offerle; grandchildren: Kimberly (Albert) Buhl, Craig (Sandra) Eaton, Shana (Paul) Rea, Timothy (Stacey) Shurr, Tina (Michael) Clindaniel, Daniel Shurr, Kristina (Chris Nowak) Offerle, Kyle Offerle, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Ginger graduated from Horace Mann High School and worked at the National Tube Works until her marriage in 1950. She and Donald owned and operated Oak Ridge Roller Dome in Hobart for over 30 years. Following that time, Ginger worked at Bud Pressner Music for nearly 20 years. Ginger was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Hobart Indiana for over 50 years, and was a member of The Hope Circle. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Valparaiso.
