About	Rickey Dorn, Sr. was born January 31, 1953 in Gary, Indiana the 6th born to Andrew and Nannie Bell Dorn, Sr. On January 10, 2018 Rickey peacefully departed his earthly life at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rickey grew up in Gary, Indiana and graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1971 and served in the US Navy until his discharge in 1978. He was a member faithful member of Christ Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith in Joliet, Ill. Rickey was employed with Federal Express for 22 years. Rickey was also a member of Fort Erie 167 and Kankakee Elks Lodges 1753. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Nannie Dorn, Sr.; son, Rickey Dorn, Jr.; brothers, Andrew Dorn, Jr. and Bobby Dorn; sisters, Bessie Kirk, Neanza Washington and Denise Dorn. He leaves to cherish precious memories his loving wife, Stephanie Dorn; three daughters, Talitha Kelly of Joliet, IL, Mia Strong of North Carolina, Davon Dorn-Gorman of New Jersey; two sons, Maurice Strong (Marilyn) of Orlando, FL, Rickey Keith Dorn of Noblesville, IN; six sisters, Dorothy Bradley and Delores Brame (John) of Gary, IN, Betty Smith (Glenn) of Merrillville, IN, April Spann of Indianapolis, IN, Carolyn Johnson and Rosa McRoy (Melvin) of Des Moines, IA; special sister-in-law and Nurse, Selena Hammond, Joliet, IL; daughters- in-law, Junita Shaw, Phoenix, AZ and Sherinda Tolbert-Dorn, Atlanta, GA; step-son, James Kelly (Conne), Byron Kelly (Dr. Kristi); 19 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of extended family and friends.
