James D. Hooper, aka "Hooper", age 74, of Brownsville, KY, formerly of Lake Station, IN., passed away December 31, 2017.
Jim was born in Newbern, TN, a graduate of Horace Mann High School, Class of 1962. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. Jim was well known as an AKC German Shepherd breeder and an expert in Martial Arts. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ruby Hooper; brothers: Eddie Hooper and Danny Hooper and is survived by his daughters: Jamie Hooper Powell (David) of Valparaiso, IN and Jennifer Serene Hooper Morris (Rick) of Barrington, IL; six grandchildren: Jenna, Logan, Gabrielle, Jordan, Taylor and Tessa; one great-grandchild, Cardon; sisters: Donna Kay Hooper, Ruby Faye Young; brother, Paul Glen Hooper; niece Loretta Conley.
