About	Charles D. ‘Chuck’ Redmond, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was born August 24, 1929 in Ohio to Charles H. and Laura Redmond, graduated from Horace Mann High School and served proudly with the U.S. Army in Korea. Chuck made his career as a printer/typesetter with the Gary Post-Tribune for 36 years. On March 11, 1951, he married Joan Lamar who preceded him in death in 2011. Survivors include their children: Melinda (Fred) Franzwa of New York, Tim (Carol) Redmond of Florida, John (Cindy) Redmond of Valparaiso, sister, Janet Gartreal, grandchildren: Betsy, Renee, Fred III, John M., Paul, Emily, Matt, Vanessa, Jenny and Janal and many great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sabra. Chuck enjoyed sharing jokes with his friends no matter how many times they may have been recycled. He was an avid coin and stamp collector spanning 50 years. Chuck loved the time he spent bowling and golfing, having accomplished 4 holes-in-one. Regulars at the Banta Center will finally have a fair chance to win some Bingo games.
