About	Amelia Rodriguez, age 67, of Hobart, IN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Amelia was a 1968 graduate of Horace Mann High School in Gary, IN. She retired from Continental National Assurance (CNA) in Chicago, IL and also worked at Indiana Botanical Gardens (IBC) in Hobart, IN. Amelia was a good listener to family and friends who sought her out for advice and guidance. She had an outspoken disposition and would always state what was on her mind. Amelia loved maintaining her yard, especially her flowers. She also had a passion for wind chimes. Amelia is survived by her brother Carlos (Mary) Rodriguez, sister Ana Rodriguez, nephew Carlos Rodriguez Jr., Michael Rodriguez, Quince (Erin) Ballas, niece Diana (Seth) Gray, great-nephew, Sawyer Gray, stepfather Tomas Baez and other loving family members and friends. Amelia was preceded in death by her father Jesus Rodriguez and her mother Ana Rodriguez-Baez. Amelia's memory will always be carried in our hearts.

I remember her as having a sunny disposition.

I remember her brother Carlos(I think he was left-handed).
