About	Donald G. Gress, age 86, of Normal, IL, formerly of Gary, Merrillville and Crown Point, IN, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Donald is survived by 2 daughters: Glenda (Jay) Stevens of Normal, IL and Nancy (Rob) Rassbach of Avon, IN; 5 grandchildren: Emily (Nate) Lindsey, Shane Stevens, Matthew, Rochelle and Brian Rassbach; and 1 sister: Phyllis Modrak. He was preceded in death by his wife: Wannie and parents: Gilbert and Dortha Gress. Don was a 1949 graduate of Horace Mann High School. He attended the University of Miami and Indiana University. Don was owner of Gress Jewelers, established in 1936 by his father, and closed in 1995. He was a past-President of the Indiana Jewelers Association and a long-time member of the Merrillville Breakfast Kiwanis Club and The Elks.
