About | Lennys Quintess Swanson, age 59, passed away suddenly in the early morning hour of Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at her home. Lennys was born on July 22, 1957 to the union of Hazel and Jeroline Farmer in Defuniak Springs, FL. Preceded in death by her father, Hazel and sister, Debra (Cleveland) Brown. Lennys is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Swanson; devoted sons, Monte (Felicia) White, Dashun Swanson, Tory (Teilah) Swanson, and Cory Swanson; loving mother, Jeroline Farmer; devoted brothers, Ernest, Gary, and Eric Farmer; loving sister, Joy (Franklin) Robinson; loving sister-in-law, Linda Ord; 17 cherished grandchildren; a great granddaughter; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other family members and precious friends. In 1967 Hazel Farmer relocated his family from Florida to Gary, IN. Lennys attended Gary Schools finishing her education at Horace Mann High School. She entered the workforce eventually receiving a clerical certification from Indiana University Northwest. Recently Lennys completed courses at Ivy Tech and became a Mary Kay consultant. In 1977 Lennys met and later married Jesse Swanson. Together they raised four amazing young men. Lennys devoted her time to keeping her home and loving her family. She loved to fish and was always looking for a new spot to find a great catch. Lennys loved her grandchildren and was so proud of them. She would give anything for her grandchildren and she did. Always giving encouragement and an infectious smile and laugh, seeing only the best in everyone. She is forever loved and will be deeply missed. |
