About	Mary K. Gasser, age 87 of Ogden Dunes, passed away on April 16, 2016. She was a graduate of Horace Mann, class of 1946, and a graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. in elementary education. She was a kindergarten teacher at Horace Mann. Mary was also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and was a life member of the Indiana University Alumni Association, the President's Circle and the Well House Society. She was a member of Methodist Hospital Auxiliary, Beta Gamma Upsilon Sorority, and the Gary Junior Assembly. Mary was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill Gasser, to whom she was married for 53 years; sister, Grace McDonald and parents, Marian and Edouard Kratz. She is survived by her son, Wilbert W. (Nancy) Gasser of FL; granddaughter, Erin (Matthew) Beardsley of Marquette, MI; niece, Carol McDonald of CT and great nephew, Jamie McDonald of New York City; several other nieces and nephews; Mary's family would also like to recognize a special group of friends.
