About	Bonnie M. Harmon passed away February 23, 2016 after a brief illness. Bonnie was born November 4, 1928 in Kentucky. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana and received her bachelor's degree from the paralegal program at Roosevelt University, Chicago. Bonnie was a long-time resident of South Holland. She enjoyed an extensive career in labor relations at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana where she served as the first female president of Local 2695. In the 1980s Bonnie traveled to Taiwan where she taught English. She was a full-time substitute teacher for many years in Illinois high school District 205, serving at Thornridge High School in particular. She leaves behind many friends who will remember her for her intelligence, warmth and spirit.
