About	Shirley Hintalla Benson (nee Lemster), age 92 of Crown Point, formerly of Merrillville, passed away on February 21, 2016. She was a graduate of Horace Mann, class of 1941. Shirley attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL and was a former employee of Innsbrook Country Club. She was also a member of Tri Kappa Sorority and P.E.O. Chapter Y and was an avid bridge player. Shirley was also a member of Central Christian Church in Merrillville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Ben Lemster; husbands, William Hintalla and Harold Benson; brother, Thomas Lemster. Shirley is survived by her children: Susan Aragona of NY, William (Pam) Hintalla of MI, Carol (Mike Berdine) McConnell of Crown Point and David (Jacquie) Benson of WI; 11 grandchildren: Anthony (Kharla) Aragona, Allison (Brian) Morris, William (Vanessa) Hintalla, Margie Hintalla, Kari (Jack) Hunter, Zachary Hintalla, Sean (Amanda) McConnell, Amanda (Jeff) Westbay, John Benson, Adrienne Benson (fiancée Jason Schoemann), Corinne (Brandon) Prieto; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
