About	Walter Roy Quanstrom, Sr., age 95, of Crown Point, formerly of Olathe, KS and Gary, passed away November 23, 2015. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, Class of 1938. Walter joined the Standard Oil Company (Indiana), was drafted into the U.S. Army, and served under General MacArthur as a sergeant in the military police. After returning from the service, he was employed by Amoco Oil in Whiting, IN, Sugar Creek, MO, Neodesha, KS, Salt Lake City, UT, and retired after 40 years of service from the company in Kansas City, MO. Walter was also a lifelong member of The Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Neita; brother, Robert; sister, Marjorie Tanner. Walter is survived by his children: Walter Quanstrom, Jr. (Fay), Ronald (Julie) Quanstrom, Joyce (Lee) Abbott; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Martha (Floyd) Bruning; brother, Roy (Shirley) Quanstrom; several nieces and nephews.
