About	Ethel V. Henderson, age 101 of Crown Point, passed away September 17, 2015. She attended Horace Mann High School, Class of 1931, and worked at the Gary State Bank immediately following graduation. She was president of PI Sigma Phi Sorority, and president of the Women's Association at the First Presbyterian Church of Gary during their 50th anniversary. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and served on other civic boards in Gary. Ethel lived across the street from the Lake County Fair Grounds and loved sitting in her garage and people watching. To everyone's amazement, Ethel was still walking to town even at the age of 95. She was a beautiful and inspirational woman who engaged everyone in conversation. Ethel was Our "Centessence" of Life and Love. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Donald Henderson, her sons Chuck and Bob Henderson, and granddaughter Shelly Lofy. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Allen) Washko, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and two devoted daughters-in-law, Rita and Jean Henderson.
