About	Ben Gilyan, age 79, of Valparaiso, passed away on March 13, 2015. Ben was a retired Designer Engineer from U. S. Steel. He was a past president of the Assyrian American Assn of Northwest Indiana, a member of the Assyrian American Federation and U. S. Steel Supervisor's Club. Ben was preceded in death by his parents: Eshoo and Margaret Gilyan and brother, Sargon Aivaz. He is survived by his children: Bentley Eshoo Gilyan of TX, Brian Abraham (Gloria) Gilyan of Hobart, Brendan John (Stacy) Gilyan of TX and Lisa Marie (Timothy) Davison of Valparaiso; grandchildren: Sarah, Anthony, Benjamin, Angelise, Jillian Joy, and Brendan John, Jr.; sisters: Lilly Shahmatta of CA, Katy (Walter) Shahbaz of CA and Nellie (William) Gaines of Schererville.
