About	Edward Thomas Doyne III, May 22, 1923- January 2, 2015. Edward was born, raised, and prospered in Gary, IN. His parents were Edward Thomas Doyne II and Martha Bennett Doyne. Jim Doyne is his younger brother. He attended Horace Mann High School (Class of 1942) and stayed close to classmates his whole life. (Horace Mann Breakfast Club had a special place in his heart). Ed was a business owner…Doyne’s Marine in Miller and Portage. He worked hard making it a success. Doyne’s Marine is celebrating 60 years in business in 2015. Ed served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He also served in the Naval Reserve. Ed was married to Jean Doyne. He has two children, Michael (Victoria) Doyne and Sylvia (Tom) Collins. He has several grandchildren…Corey (Christy), Natalie (Michael), Kim, Lisa (Jake), Carly (Paul). Three great-grandchildren…Cole, Addison, and Gavin. Ed was a past president of the Gary Rotary Club. He was a past president of Jaycees. He was a Mason. He belonged to Hoosier Cruisers and Family Motor Coach Association. Ed along with Jean loved to travel in their motor coach all over the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Ed loved people and had a great sense of humor. He was always positive. He could build, fix, or do anything he put his mind to!
