About	Loretta B. Munster passed away in the early morning hours on October 12, 2014 at the Morrison Woods in Muncie, IN. She was born April 13, 1915 to Karl and Lydia (Buse) Dettman in Gary, IN, and grew up in the Tolleston area. Loretta was a 1933 graduate of Horace Mann High School. She married James B. Munster on May 27, 1939 who preceded her in death on July 27, 1978. She was a meat cutter at Burgers Supermarket on Ridge Road in Munster, IN for many years. Loretta was a member of the Meat Cutters Union where she retired in 1982. She belonged to many senior citizen groups in Munster and Hammond, IN. Loretta was a dedicated member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Munster, IN where she was a part of their quilting club for many years. Loretta spent her retirement years crocheting lap afghans and donating them to nursing homes all over the area. Loretta is survived by her two sons: David (Jan) Munster of Muncie, IN and Ron Munster of Munster, IN; the apples of her eye, her grandchildren: Richard (Tiffany) Munster of Chicago, IN and Rebecca (Travis) Schunck of Virginia Beach, VA; her great-granddaughter, Olivia Schunck; nephew, Gene Zack of Lake Station, IN; nieces: Maureen Zack of Lake Station, IN and Joy (Gary) Liesenfelt of Riverside, CA; other family members and friends. Besides her husband preceding her in death were her brothers: Leroy and Franklin Dettman; her sister, Elna Zack; and nephew, Wayne Dettman.
