About	Philip Plummer, age 86, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Violet Plummer (Glibota); beloved children: Patricia Plummer and Thomas (Sandy) Plummer; dear grandchildren: Christopher, Loren, Jonathan, Bobby, Ashley and Matthew; daughter-in-law, Ruth (Steve) Elliott. Preceded in death by his parents: Philip and Marie Plummer; son, Robert Plummer; three brothers and four sisters. Philip was a graduate of Horace Mann class of 1946. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp and went on to graduate from University of Denver with a BA and Valparaiso University with a Masters. Philip retired as a teacher from the Merrillville school system. He enjoyed football and was a devoted Notre Dame fan. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
