About	Haggard-Sparks, Mary E. 'Robin' Age 61, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Gary, and a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. A (1971) graduate of Horace Mann High School and attended Grambling State University. She was employed with the US Postal Service and US Steel Corporation. Preceded in death by husband, Leonard Sparks; father, Thurston Haggard; sister, Patricia Haggard; and grandson, Antoine Taylor. She leaves to always love and cherish her memory, daughters, Sonya (Roosevelt) Haggard-Jolly of Merrillville, IN, Akia Parks of Cordova, TN, Naomi Sparks of Christiansburg, VA, and Marylynn Sparks of Raleigh, NC; mother, Lavinia C. Haggard of Gary, IN; siblings, Barbara (Curtis) Holt, John (Mary) Haggard, Ernestine Joy, Peggy Miller, Claudine Haggard, all of Gary, IN and Onjada (Raymond) Richardson of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
