About	Mr. Rian passed away on March 31, 2014. He was born in Hammond, IN on March 22, 1933 to John and Ruth Helen (Grubb) Rian. Shelley graduated 1951 from Horace Mann H.S., graduated 1955 from IU as member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and served as an officer in the Air Force. Once George moved to Indianapolis, he began his sales career as a manufacturer's rep. for Bockstahler & Co., and finally with the Bicycle Garage Indy. He was a member of the Indianapolis Sailing Club. George was an intense competitor whether he was racing iceboats or sailing his Cal 21. He was passionate about developing competitive cyclists. George leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Nancy (Butler, MD); son, R. Michael Rian (Kristi); daughters, Victoria Rian Arrivillaga (Herman) and Lora; grandchildren, Dallas and Ava.
