About	Thomas J. Mathis, Sr., age 71 of Crown Point, passed away March 24, 2014. He was born and raised in Gary and graduated from Horace Mann High School. Tom was an architectural engineer in the railroad industry and after retirement worked for Dental Professional Laboratories. He was a member and usher at Bethel Church. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife- Margaret; children- Tom Jr. (Wanda), Roberta (Bob Artka), Mark (Kim), and Steve Mathis, and David (Sara) Peterson; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers- Wayne (Lois) and Dan (Cheryl) Mathis; 2 sisters- Joan Harrington and Delores Dzurko.
