About	Mangual, Carlos A. Age 64, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War, receiving a Purple Heart. He retired from Gary Works, U.S. Steel Co. Member of C.I.O. Local 1014. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, Class of 1969. He was an avid pool player and beer drinker. Preceded in death by his wife, Maria Mangual; parents, Jose and Angela Mangual; brother, Joe Mangual. Survivors: daughters, Amanda (Anthony Williams) Mangual, with whom he lived with and was his caretaker, Lena Mangual of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Nevaeh, Jaelen, Maria Williams; sisters, Elena (Juan) Molina, Delores (late Gene) Strauch, Olga (Irving) Cruz, Gladys (Tom) Brown, Angel (Yang Sun) Mangual, Margaret (Byron) Perry, Carmelita (Bryan) Mangual; brother, Robert Mangual; numerous nieces and nephews.
