About	Ethel June Henderson, (nee Ellis) was born in Gary, Indiana on august 29, 1929 to the late Bernard and Isabella Ellis. Ethel, a 49 year resident of Oak Lawn, passed away on March 4, 2014. Ethel attended Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana where she graduated in 1947. She maintained life long friendships from her high school years and always enjoyed many high school reunions after high school. She attended Fox Business school in Chicago, IL. She met Malcolm John Henderson, "Jack", at the Trianon in Chicago, where they both loved to dance. They were married on September 2, 1950. Jack passed away in 2005. They have two children, John (Maureen) and Nancy (Jim) Briggs and five grandchildren, Cheryl (Ryan) Trauernicht, Laura Briggs, Jack, Ian and Victoria Henderson. Dear sister of the late Jean (Stanley) Gorski. The majority of Ethel's working career was spent at Moraine Valley community college where she made many good friends that stayed close over the years. She also worked at Oak Lawn High School and the Oak Lawn Library. Ethel was an avid reader of mysteries, loved to watch football, enjoyed hosting the family holiday dinners and going on family vacations. Her faith, family and friendships were the highlights of her life.
