About	Elsie T. Pitchford age 85, formerly of Gary, passed away in Indianapolis on October 5, 2013 after a brief illness. She was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, class of 1946. Elsie worked for the Gary License Bureau, C. Thomas Chevrolet and the City of Hobart. She was preceded in death by her husband William C. Pitchford; parents, Louis and Katherine Blosl; brothers, Louis and Fred; sister, Mary; nieces: Jane and Therese; granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth and daughter-in-law, Dina. She is survived by her daughters: Judith A. (James) McGroarty of Indianapolis and Barbara K. Pitchford of St. Petersburg, FL; sons: James W. Pitchford of Chattanooga, TN and William D. (Pamela) Pitchford of Kentland, IN; brother, Terence D. (Katherine) Blosl of Kalamazoo, MI; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral service Thursday, October 10, 2013 beginning at 9:15 a.m. from Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart and proceeding to St. Bridget Church, 568 E. 2nd St., Hobart, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Dominic Bertino officiating. Interment in Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with Elsie's family on Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
