About	Robert Torres, age 51, passed away late Saturday night, September 28, 2013 at his residence in East Chicago, IN. He was born to Anthony Torres, Sr. and Emily Eckhart on June 4, 1962 in East Chicago, IN. Preceded in death by his beloved dog, Duke. Robert is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Lina Rena (Richard) Garcia; loving son, Robert Torres, Jr.; loving parents: Anthony Torres and Emily Eckhart; loving brothers: Anthony (Yolanda), Edward (Rosa) Torres, Michael Torres Sr; Alex (Denise) Torres and Matthew Eckhart; loving sister, Denise (Marvin) Jernigan; former wife, Teresa Harris; nieces, nephews, and several loving family members. Robert was a dedicated security guard for IVY Tech for over 10 year in East Chicago, Gary, and Michigan City, IN campuses. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1980 in Gary, IN where he still maintained his roots. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Main Chapel at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be a the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, IN. Robert will be deeply missed by his loving children, family, extended family, and precious friends. God Grant Him Eternal Peace.
