About	(December 11, 1935 - June 7, 2013) William C. Kravas, age 77, of Hilo, Hawaii and formerly of Portage passed away Friday June 7, 2013 at the Hale Avenue Care Center in Hilo, Hawaii. He was born December 11, 1935 in Gary, IN to the late Christ and Rose (Meneakis) Kravas. On June 13, 1959 he married his beloved wife Shirley in Gary, Indiana. He worked as an assistant corporate secretary for Carson Pirie Scott & Company in Chicago, Illinois and retired as an special assistant administrator for the Portage School System. He was a great fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and IU Basketball. Member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and a graduate of Indiana University and Indiana University Law School. He is survived by his wife Shirley “Shey” Kravas of Hilo, HI; a son Christopher (Kathy) Kravas of Wheaton, IL; a daughter Laurie (Paul) Soares of Hilo, HI; four grandchildren Alex Jensen, Jacob Kravas, Tara Kravas and William Soares; and a sister Helen Vallas of Munster. He was preceded in death by his father Christ Kravas and his mother and stepfather Rose and William Haniotis.
