About	Feb 12, 1934 – Jun 22, 2013 Janet Rose Graves Age 79, a longtime resident of Omaha, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2013 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha after battling a long illness. Janet was born in Gary, Indiana to Gladys and Ray Butz on February 12, 1934. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1952 and married in 1958. Janet was one of a kind and a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed good food, sweets and socializing. She was a fabulous cook. She loved flowers, animals, the 50s, movies, music, dancing, and the occasional Mogen David. In addition, Janet remained a loyal fan to her beloved Chicago White Sox. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do, and she never knew a stranger. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Frederick “Ray” Butz; brother, Gordon “Gordy” Butz; husband, Gerald “Jerry” Graves. Survivors include: daughter, Jackie Maher (Joe) of Orlando; son, John Graves (Janice) of Omaha; grandsons, Brendan and Quinn Maher; several nieces and nephews and other relatives
