About	Ethel Payne Age 60, of Gary, IN, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013. She was born to Alpha and Virgil Payne in Gary, IN. She passed away unexpectedly at home. She was a lifetime resident of Gary and was educated in the Gary Schools. She was preceded in death by children, Danielle Payne and Shawn Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving mother and father; devoted son, Joshua (Tramaine) Payne; godson, Mikey Chambers; beloved grandchildren, Shawn Smith Jr, Ja'Liyah, and T'Yauna Payne; loving sisters, Linda (Mark) Walters, LaJuene (Clem) Hollingsworth, and Melinda Harvey; nieces, Tomeko (Kevin) Hopson and Erica (Ephraim) Ruthledge; and nephew, Johnny Warren; special friend, Tyrone Hicks. Ethel truly loved her family, neighborhood, and city.
