About	He was born in Gary on March 30, 1928. He dedicated his life to health care and the Northwest Indiana Community. Peter attended Horace Mann High School in Gary. He attended the Citadel, Military College of South Carolina, Loyola U., Chicago, B. S. Biological Science; Loyola University, Chicago Bacteriology, Illinois Institute of Technology, Bacteriology, Indiana University School of Medicine, M.D. 1958, Internship, Methodist Hospital of Gary, 1958-1959. He served in the U. S. Army 1952 to 1954. He practiced in Crown Point, Indiana, 1959 to date and founded Crown Point Clinic, Inc., a multi-specialty group until 1968. Medical Director of James O. Parramore Hospital; Peter served as Medical Director Lake County Jail 1969 to 1982; Director of Professional Services, Lutheran Home of Northwest Indiana 1980 to 1983; Past Chairman Peer Review Committee; Lake County Medical Society; Chairman Blue Shield State Wide Fee Review Committee 193 to 1975. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter L. and Lucille Gutierrez and sister, Vinnie. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jacqueline Gutierrez; 4 children, Marie Vogel of Phoenix, Peter M. (Kim) Gutierrez of Phoenix, Jean (Mike) Powers of Kildeer, IL and Lucy (Anthony) Trotman of Camden, NC; stepchildren, Robyn (Tim) (nee Henderson) McGrath of Alexandria, VA, Amy (Joe) (nee Henderson) LeDonne of Austin, TX, Ross (Kristin) Henderson of Indianapolis, Lori and John Laszlo of Munster, Brian Fuchs of Crown Point and Sam Fuchs of Atlanta, GA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
