About	Alice Genevieve Underwood (nee Hutchins), age 79, of Hebron, IN formerly of Calumet Township, IN passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Anthony Hospice. Alice is survived by her husband, Loren of 63 years. Alice and Loren, known to many as "Gen and Bud" were blessed with four children, Loren (Joan) Underwood, Jr. of Plano, TX; Missy (John) Bianchi of Howell, MI; Keith (Eva) Underwood of Porter, IN; and Clare (Pete) Svetanoff of Elkhart, IN; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her special niece, Donna (Ron) Sonaty. She is preceded in death by her brother, William Hutchins and sister, Marie Horne. Alice was born in Gary, IN on August 28, 1932 to William and Alice (Tarullo) Hutchins and graduated from Horace Mann High School. On June 11, 1949, Alice married Loren Underwood at St. Mark Catholic Church. She was a long time active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a current member of St Helen Catholic Church in Hebron, IN. She loved to sew and cook, and dedicated her life to her husband and family. Alice was a wonderful baker and everyone that knew her looked forward to her Apple Slices. She also anonymously supported many causes that benefited the less fortunate.
