About	Sunrise 11-14-1936 Sunset 8-26-2011 Gene E. Isolampi of Merrillville, is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley A. Isolampi; daughter, Shari A. Brugos-Isolampi of DeMotte, IN; and two sons: Mark E. (Paula) Isolampi of Hobart, IN and Matt B. (Katty) Isolampi of Orlando, FL; three grandsons: Tristan, Cameron and Mitchell; sister, Patricia (Michael) Kozak of Munster; and many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilho and Gerda Isolampi of Gary; and sister, Beverly Jean. Mr. Gene Isolampi was a lifetime member of the Methodist Hospital Volunteers, a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, proud member of the NRA, numerous Senior citizens clubs and an avid traveler, domestic and abroad. Gene retired from G.E. Medical Services after 26 years of distinguished service. "God saw that I was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around me and whispered, "Come with me."
