About	James A. Kormos, age 69, a lifelong resident of Gary, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. He was born on August 22, 1934, the son of Andrew and Ida (Juhasz) Kormos. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1952. He retired from the E.J.&E. Railway in 1995 after 42 years of service. He loved to travel; was a member of AA for 32 years; and was passionate about politics and scrabble. Jim was preceded in death by his former wife, Micki (Eck) Covaciu and long time companion, Alice Langan. He will be sorely missed by his children: Diane (Bernie) Glim of Pacific Grove CA, James Kormos of LaSelva Beach, CA, Sandra (James) O'Brien of Valparaiso, Lauren (Kevin) Long of Wanatah, Elizabeth (Michael) Brooks of Chesterton; and his seven grandchildren: Ayla Glim, Conor, Collin, Corinne and Christian O'Brien and Arlan, Graham and Travis Brooks. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth (Donald) Weiss of Monmouth, OR; many dear friends.
