About	Gerald John Fankhauser Sr., age 75, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at home. He was born February 5, 1936, in Gary, IN, to Clarence and Edna (Wiederhold) Fankhauser. "Jerry" graduated from Horace Mann High School (Gary) in 1953 and from Wittenberg University in 1958, where he was a proud member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He retired from U. S. Steel where he worked in traffic/transportation management. Preceded in death by wife Phyllis Marie (Herbach) and infant daughter, Joyce Ann. He is survived by his wife, Delores Lynn (Henley) and by daughter, Jody (Ron) Buchanan of Hebron, IN; sons: Gerald Jr. (Lisa) of West Lafayette, IN and James (Jamie Lynne) of Kouts, IN. Also survived by stepsons: James, of Morton, Illinois, and Jeffrey (Susan) Van Slyke of San Antonio, TX. Jerry is also survived by three sisters: Janice (Don) Lawrence of Portage, IN: Rosetta (Jerry) Fieser and Susan (Reed) Jess, both of Hebron, IN. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
