About	Robert Krasne Of Cottage Grove, Oregon, died May 18, 2004 at the age of 64 of a brain tumor. Robert was born June 25, 1939 in Gary, Indiana, to John and Dorothy Krasne. He married Jarilynn Dollarhide in Simi Valley, California on June 8, 1970, they were married for 34 years. Robert grew up and attended school in Gary, Indiana and later graduated college from Purdue University. He then moved west to Seattle, Washington where he was a teacher. Robert moved down to Southern California to teach for the Apollo Astronauts, and work as an Aerospace Engineer. In 1972 Robert and Jarilynn decided to move to Oregon where Robert started his career on the railroad. He worked for the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads for 28 years. During his life Robert enjoyed climbing. He and his brother climbed to the top of Mt. Rainier, Robert also climbed to the top of Mt. Whitney by his self. He also enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, horseback riding, ocean fishing, camping, prayer groups, folk music and going to the coast, he played the concertina, and the guitar. He also enjoyed spending time with family. Robert had a leadership position in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, he was also a member of the Cottage Grove JC's in the early 1970's. He is survived by his wife Jarilynn Krasne of Cottage Grove, Oregon; brother, Thomas Krasne of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; brother, Jay Krasne of Gurnee, Illinois; aunt, Sr Marjaleen Kelley (PHJC) of Hobart, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Margaret Mary Krasne, and his parents John and Dorothy Krasne.
