About	Raymond “Ray” A. Cortazar, age 68, of Gary, passed away suddenly, of natural causes, on January 16, 2020. Ray graduated from Holy Angels Grade School and Horace Mann High School. He served in the United States Army and was employed as a Lake County policeman. Ray was preceded in death by his parents-Antonio and Teresa Cortazar; sister-Eva Cortazar. He is survived by his wife of 42 years-Teresa (nee Sanchez); six children-Stephanie Cortazar of Logansport, Raymond Cortazar, Jr., of Hammond, Kyle Cortazar of LaPorte, Toni Cortazar of Gary, Giovanni (Alex) Cortazar of LaPorte, Selena Cortazar of Gary; 12 grandchildren; one great grandson; sisters-Terri (Charles) Hurst of FL., Margie (Dr. Peter)Geittmann of FL., Ida (Pete) Saims of Hobart, Anita (Jack) Lathrop; brothers-Rick Cortazar of IL.; Eddie Cortazar of New Mexico; many loving nieces and nephews.
