About	Ellen K. Kenworthy (nee Brown) age 75 of Portage; formerly of Gary, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019. She is survived by her son Arthur Kenworthy; grandson Brett Kenworthy; brother Richard (Nell) Brown; and her loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Guy & Olive Brown; brother William J. Brown; and her nephews Christopher & Daniel Brown. Ellen was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, Class of 1962 and a graduate of I.U.N. with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked in the accounting departments at Methodist Northlake Hospital in Gary, Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in Chicago, and other regional hospitals with over 45 years of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Ellen was an amateur painter, an avid reader, and loved greyhound dogs, having rescued several of them over the years. She also loved to travel all over the U.S. and the Caribbean Islands. Family and friends may gather at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (2700 Willowcreek, Portage) on Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 9:30 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Rev. Tom Shanahan officiating. At rest McCool Cemetery in Portage.
