About	Albert “Bud” Schneider, Age 90 of Chesterton, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Valparaiso, IN. He was born on July 8, 1928 in Gary, IN to Anthony & Sabina (Franz) Schneider. Bud graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, IN. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean Conflict. Bud married the love of his life, Audrey (Sundwall) Harrigan, on January 25, 1958. He retired in 1990 after working in receiving and maintenance for J.C. Penney. He was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton for many years. Bud is survived by his loving family; his wife of 61 years, Audrey Schneider; sons, David (wife, Gloria) Harrigan, James Schneider and John Schneider; grandchildren, Rachel (husband, Jeff) Lakin and Brian (wife, Jaime) Harrigan; great grandsons, Stephen Allen, Jarrett Allen and Robert Lakin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony & Sabina Schneider; son, Roger Schneider and siblings, Dorothy Waite, Robert Schneider, Marjorie Mace and Deanna Edwards. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton, IN 46304 with Father Jon Plavcan officiating. Burial to follow at Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm with a prayer service at 3:30pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304.
