Johnie L. Vaughn, Jr., age 65, departed this life on December 7, 2018.
Johnie was born March 29, 1953 in Gary, Indiana to the late Leona and Johnie Vaughn Sr. He graduated from Horace Mann HS (1971). He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (1976) and obtained his Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation. In 1973, he married Margaret and to this union were born three sons. Johnie enjoyed playing the guitar, coaching, and helping others.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Esther Swapshire, Ulysses Burnett, Roy and Leroy Vaughn. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons Johnie, Jeffrey (LaSonya), and Jermaine Vaughn, brother Luther Burnett, sister Dollester Vaughn, aunt Calbertha Burnett, two grandchildren (Jaida and Jaxon), and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
