About	Charles Amal Dethloff, age 94 of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Miller, passed away at 1:11 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018. The son of Amal and Mary Dethloff. He is survived by three children: Cheryl (late Oscar) Luna; Christine (Larry) Stott, and Charles William (Shauna) Dethloff; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and his sister Patricia Philips of Valparaiso. Charles was a retired timekeeper from American Bridge Co., U.S. Steel for 35 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran as a Gunners-Mate. Charles was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School and a 3-sport letterman. Played quarterback/halfback/ punter on the football team (was 6 points shy of beating Hank Stram for the city scoring title), left field/catcher/3rd base on the baseball team and ran the 100yd and 200yd dash on the track team.
