About	Jesse Pera, age 82 of Valparaiso, IN passed away on September 29, 2018. He was born on August 5, 1936 in Gary, IN to Ephram and Margaret (Mushal) Pera who preceded him in death. Jesse was followed in death hours later by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley (Hoskins) Pera. Jesse is survived by his sons, Jeffrey A. (Gloria Brown) Pera of Hebron, IN and David A. (Kathy) Pera of Avon, IN; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jesse was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton. Jesse retired after many years as an Engineer for U.S. Steel. Following retirement, he worked for Mostardi Platt and M.S. Kaplan Scrap Services, K-Mart in Portage and Target in Valparaiso. Jesse enjoyed collecting clocks and watches.
