About	Shirley Ann Pera, age 77 of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018. She was born on October 24, 1940 in Austin, IN to Andrew Herbert and Thelma L. (Zapp) Hoskins. Shirley is survived by her sons, Jeffrey A. (Gloria Brown) Pera of Hebron, IN and David A. (Kathy) Pera of Avon, IN; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death hours earlier by her loving husband of 56 years, Jesse Pera; her parents, Andrew and Thelma; step mother, Ruth E. Hoskins; brother, Herbert Joseph Hoskin; sister, Charlotte Beaudry; and brother in law, Paul Beaudry. Shirley was a lifelong area resident. She retired after 39 years as a Data Processor for the Illinois Institute of Technology Research. Shirley was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton, a Past Officer for the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 30 years and a member of the Red Hatters in Valparaiso for many years.
